There has been limited focus on exploring academic mobility between the US and Canada. As such, this presentation explores immigration realities, institutional types, and disciplinary conventions that inform “movement”, particularly for early-career scholars.

There has been limited focus on exploring academic mobility between the US and Canada. As such, this presentation explores immigration realities, institutional types, and disciplinary conventions that inform “movement”, particularly for early-career scholars. Fundamentally, there exists issues of power and inequality related to “who gets to move” and “who has to move” that can inform scholarship, practice, and policy.
