Our collaboration emerges from a concern that, in times of economic crises and austerity, we are witnessing the continuous erosion of the public role of the university as a critic and conscience of society and of spaces of dissent within it. In this seminar, we critically explore the debates around turning universities into 'pluri-versities' as a way to protect spaces for socially accountable, critically informed, rigorous, sober, and multi-voiced critical conversations about alternative futures.
