Through the lens of an information professional, attendees will learn effective strategies for conducting secondary research and ethically analyzing social media reactions. By the end of the talk, participants will not only have a deeper understanding of ambition and its societal reception but also gain practical skills for navigating and interpreting online discourse.
Kyla McCallum holds a BA in New Media and Digital Design from Fordham University (2023) and is completing her Master’s in Library and Information Studies at UBC. She specializes in mixed-methods research for social media analysis, integrating perspectives from human-information interaction and public diplomacy. As a Student Librarian at the David Lam Management Research Library and a Teaching Assistant for Database Design, Kyla has developed expertise in business information resources and information architecture.
