Distance as a Keeping: Meredith and Peter Quartermain Poet in Residence
  •
  • Join our Meredith and Peter Quartermain Poet in Residence, Margaret Christakos, for a night of poetry, music and friendship. At this final event of her residency at the College, Margaret will share a portion of the work that she has produced during her time with us—both virtually, and for the last month, onsite at Point Grey. This reading of Margaret’s new work will draw on some of the themes invoked by her earlier Distance as a Keeping series, including an interest in a poetics of polyvocality, spaciousness and mutual attention. Following this reading, Margaret will then invite other writers, musicians, artists and would-be performers from the College community to take the floor in a festive and celebratory open mic session. Light refreshments will be served.
