Viola d’amore duets

The viola d’amore is a 7- or 6- stringed musical instrument with sympathetic strings that is played under the chin in the same manner as the violin but that possesses a unique and beguiling sound. This recital explores music written for this instrument specifically and will include a short introduction on its place in musical history.
