  • This past summer, the expeditions to observe a solar eclipse that made Einstein a world celebrity completed a centenary. They confirmed that the light coming from distant stars bent around the sun as General Relativity predicted. This talk explores Einstein’s ideas that led to this theory and a myriad of recent developments of General Relativity, both in theory and experiment.

Currently in the late stages of his PhD in theoretical Physics, Bruno specialises in General Relativity and Quantum Fields in Curved Spacetimes. He completed his MSc and BSc at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
