  • This lecture will explore the discourse of sacrifice or, alternatively, the wish for martyrdom and the violently affirmative or negative ways in which it finds expression—as a mode of language, reason, politics or faith.

    David Marriott is the author of several books of poetry and criticism, including Whither Fanon? Studies in the Blackness of Being (2018), Duppies (2017), and In Neuter (2015).
