in the series Green College Special Event
The Dharma Fellowship of His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa and Resident Members of Green College have invited Dza Kilung Rinpoche for a Dharma teaching to introduce the themes of his new book. The Relaxed Mind contains instructions for the seven-phase meditation practice that Dza Kilung Rinpoche has developed for students in the West. H.E. Dza Kilung Tulku Jigme Rinpoche is the fifth reincarnation of H.H. Jigme Ngotsar Gyatso, the enlightened yogi who built Kilung Monastery in the eighteenth century. Jigme Ngotsar was important in his line, being one of the renowned “Four Jigmes,” principal disciples of Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa, the most important Nyingma teacher of the last 600 years. Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa sent Jigme Ngotsar back to his home territory of Dzachuka, where with the patronage of the King of Derge he raised a great monastery. This included a main temple (still standing), a thriving monastic college with several hundred monks, a separate centre for long-term retreat, and a nearby nunnery. https://www.kilung.org/about-kilung-rinpoche/
