Superintendent Chrustie’s work focuses on drug importation and exportation, money laundering, counter proliferation and other related activities associated with transnational organized crime. In collaboration with other international police agencies, he has led operations in recent years throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. This includes operations against key cartel groups, Asian and Middle Eastern networks known to operate abroad and in Canada. He holds a BA in Studies in Justice and Law Enforcement, BA (Honours) in Law and a Masters of Law. He has received numerous awards and medals for his work overseas, including this year, the Canadian Association of Police Chiefs’ award for International Policing due to his contributions made during his career in Transnational Organized Crime, peacekeeping and terrorist negotiations abroad. This lecture is cosponsored by the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform.
