  • Dr. Mendlesohn’s research interests are in the areas of community structures and rhetorics in fantasy and science fiction, children's literature and the pedagogy of science. She is an expert on cultural history of popular fiction, and has published and edited such prominent works as Rhetorics of Fantasy (2008), The Cambridge Companion to Science Fiction (2003), and The Cambridge Companion to Fantasy Literature (2012).
